Keep Your Nails Protected

Hi, ladies! Who else here cannot wait until summer? Well I for one can’t. So to keep myself busy, let me just write an article that is meant for the sunny breeze and sandy beaches. A girl can daydream after all, right?  So with that said, let me share with you a list of precautions that you can take to keep your nails protected and intact even with all the fun activities you may have planned for this sunny season.

Be mindful and keep your nails protected.

#1: When getting a bit of vitamin SEA

You might not know this but the ocean is just what you need to grow out your nails. So if you are a chronic nail biter and would love nothing than to keep your nails long, then you’ll be happy to know that the sea is all that you will need. But here’s a slight hitch to this otherwise awesome tidbit: the high concentration of salt as well as of moisture can damage your nails. How? By softening it more than necessary and causing splits to your nails. What you can do to keep this from happening is to layer on clear nail polish to harden it a little bit.

#2: When basking in the SUN

Granted that you only bask in the sun in controlled doses, this can really do a lot to your mood as well as give you a nice and healthy tan. However, you might lather on sunscreen on the rest of your body but still forget about your nails. Know that they can burn too. So make sure that they are protected by using SPF on your hands.

#3: When lounging about in the POOL

This works pretty much like the first item in that excess moisture can ultimately soften and damage your nails. Make sure that you protect your nails with a top coat.

Don't miss out!
